1983: Developed the first arthroscopic technique for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using semitendinosis and gracilis tendons.

1986: Developed the technique and instrumentation for, and performed the first arthroscopic anterior shoulder capsulorrhaphy using a cannulated screw and ligament washer.

1989: Developed the instrumentation and performed the first arthroscopic Bankart repair using Mitek suture anchors.

1990: Developed and performed the first purely arthroscopic technique for rotator cuff repair using sutures and suture anchors.

1992: Developed the TransFix ACL Reconstruction System for hamstring cruciate ligament repair.

1995: Developed the “Keyhole Technique” for arthroscopic assisted meniscal allograft transplantation.

1995: Developed the Rotator Cuff Anchor for arthroscopic and mini-open rotator cuff repair in conjunction with Mitek Corporation.

1995: Introduced Superior Capsular Closure in arthroscopic shoulder stabilization.

1999: Developed the Delta Interference screw for soft tissue fixation in the tibia in ACL reconstruction.

2000: Developed the Facile Humeral Head Arthroplasty.

2000: Developed Arthroscopic Coracoclavicular Reconstruction.

  • 1983- developed instrumentation (patented tendon stripper and a tendon passer) for an arthroscopic technique of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction that continues in use.
  • 1985- developed a cannualated screw and ligament system for arthroscopic shoulder stabilization licensed to Stryker Corporation.
  • 1996- developed the Bazooka™ a shoulder surgery suspension and positioning device for arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder.

  • 1990- developed the Cannuloc™ system of threaded cannulas for use in arthroscopic reconstruction of the shoulder and knee.
  • 1990- developed the Hawkeye™ suture system
  • 1991- developed the Crescent Hooks™ that permit intra-articular suturing in shoulder and knee reconstruction.

  • 1989- developed a cutting block device for harvesting bone-tendon-bone autografts in anterior cruciate ligament surgery.
  • 1992- developed the patented Transfix™ anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction system using semitendinosis and gracilis tendons.
  • 1993- developed the instrumentation for the Keyhole™ technique in meniscus allograft transplantation.
  • 2000- developed the first arthroscopic coraco-clavicular ligament reconstruction instrumentation and technique.

  • 2001- License agreement with Biomet for the patent pending stemless humeral head replacement arthroplasty (Facile Shoulder).
